In September 2015, the Rector (Prof. Giuseppe Zaccaria) proposed to the board of the University of Padova the establishment of a new Centro di Ateneo (University Center) focused on neuroscience. In April 2017, with the support of seven Departments (Neuroscience, Physics and Astronomy, General Psychology, Developmental Psychology and Socialization; Information Engineering, Biomedical Sciences, and Mathematics) and support from the new Rector, Prof. Rosario Rizzuto, the Padova Neuroscience Center (PNC) of the University of Padova was officially established.
The PNC is a multi-disciplinary research center dedicated to the study of networks in the brain, health, and society.
