At the core of PNC activities lies research. Through the Padova Neuroscience Centre, it is possible to access facilities that enable data collection and analysis of signals and images, both for human and preclinical studies.
Human research:
High-Density EEG
A 256-channel EEG system, also MR-compatible, is available. The high number of electrodes significantly enhances the spatial sampling of the acquired signals.
Eye-Tracking System
This system measures eye position, eye movement, and pupil size, allowing the detection of areas to which users pay attention at specific times.
MRI & PET scanners
An agreement between the University of Padova and the Padova Hospital governs the access to and use of three different scanners (PET/MR Biograph Siemens, MRI 3T Philips Ingenia and MRI 1.5T Siemens) owned by the hospital.
